The Vendue | Homage preview dinner

Preview Dinner April 5, 2017     7-9pm

OPENING RECEPTION April 6, 2017 6-8pm

HOMAGE

The Vendue’s newest exhibition, which is to be displayed April – September 2017 is being curated by Emily Rigsby, The Vendue’s Art Director. “HOMAGE” emerged by way of Rigsby’s love for Art History, bearing in mind our mission to foster a dynamic, progressive Art Program.

This show comes on the heels of a whimsical exhibition “Lions and Tigers and Bears”. The new exhibit will showcase artists from around the country paying homage to the artists that paved the way before them. Viewers will be delighted by the nods to iconic works found in museums and private collections. Old world techniques are given new life through the brushes of living masters, in a contemporary environment.

The Vendue has organized two events in correlation with the opening of “HOMAGE.” On Wednesday, April 5th from 7-9pm, Drawing Room will host a preview dinner which pairs participating artists with a thoughtfully curated menu by renowned chef, Forrest Parker. Local artist and gallery owner, Robert Lange, as well as celebrated artist, Susan Harrell, will give insight to their process and inspiration for the pieces they created for “HOMAGE”.  Tickets are $75 and space is limited. Call 843-414-2334 or email ArtDocent@TheVendue.com to reserve your seat at this highly anticipated dinner. The following night, Thursday, April 6th from 6-8pm, The Vendue will host the opening reception for “HOMAGE” and will feature live music, cocktails, and passed hors d’oeuvres. All are welcome.
