MARY MARTIN GALLERY FEATURES “SOUTHERN SKIES” BY JUDY FULLER
Join us on Gallery Row in the famed Charleston Historic District for an enchanting evening of fine art at the Mary Martin Gallery! This June, we proudly present the treasured lowcountry marsh scenes by Judy Fuller. Judy is forever exceeding herself in creating serenity through her oil-painted marsh-scapes. Viewing Fuller’s work is like taking a relaxing vacation for the eyes. Join us as we welcome Judy Fuller to our Charleston gallery on Friday, June 2nd 2017 5-8 PM.
“Southern Skies” aptly describes Judy Fuller’s latest collection of work. With a focus on the bellowing clouds and warm lighting Judy’s perfected tonalistic style gives her skies an overall vivacious yet transcendent glow. Judy describes one of her newest paintings, Awakening, “There is a peaceful calm as each day arises. Even on those days when the sunrise feels angry, it still projects its inevitable confirmation of the sun’s daily return”.
As a representational landscape artist, Judy is intrigued most by the sky and the excitement of the internal qualities of clouds. She spends a great deal of time observing skies before beginning a skyscape. Judy explains, “It is a personal privilege for me to live in the Southeastern United States, where we share the incredible beauty of our skies.”
